Shawne Merriman of the San Diego Chargers was taken into custody Sunday morning after police got a phone call around 3:45am. Tila claims she was "choked and physically restrained" by Merriman after she tried to leave his residence.
Tila signed a citizens arrest warrant, charging Merriman with battery and false imprisonment. Merriman was takin into custody and his bail was set at $58,000, While Tila was taken to a local hospital.
Both have been released.
A lawyer for Merriman denied all charges and says Tila was "extremely inebriated" and that Merriman tried to stop her from leaving the home because he didn't feel it was safe for her to do so. Tila has since hit up her Twitter to dispute those claims. Check out her tweet below...
*UPDATE* Shawne Merriman has released a statement:
“The San Diego Sheriffs Department responded to a citizen’s complaint that was initiated by Tila Nguyen [aka Tila Tequila]. I was taken into custody based upon that complaint. At the time, I was concerned about her welfare given the intoxicated state she appeared to be in and I encouraged her to stay until safe transportation could be provided. We would all do our best to help a friend if we considered their actions to be detrimental to their personal safety.
“I in no way caused any harm to Ms Nguyen, however, paramedics were called and she was examined but no injuries were reported. She was released and has since returned to Los Angeles, California. There have been no charges filed against me. I want to thank the San Diego Sheriffs Department for their professionalism. I will continue to cooperate fully with the Department and I look forward to clearing my name regarding these false allegations. I want to put this behind me so I can continue to focus on a successful season for the San Diego Chargers.”

According to Life & Style Magazine, Halle Berry is expecting her 2nd child with boyfriend/model Gabriel Aubry. It has been confirmed that she is as much as three months pregnant right now.
“Halle is overjoyed,” says an insider close to Halle and the baby’s father, model Gabriel Aubry. “The first time, she struggled so much to get pregnant and eventually conceived through in vitro fertilization. This time, the baby was conceived through artificial insemination.”
“She’s just ecstatic to be pregnant again,” the insider tells Life & Style. “She wasn’t sure if she’d have another baby, so she’s very happy!” A rep for Halle didn’t respond to a request for comment.

Speaking of Jim Jones, he and cats like The Game stay throwing shots at you, referring to you as old and washed-up. But you've always thrived off that type of competition. So, currently in the most comfortable position of your career, how competitive are you?
Not really that competitive, because the competition isn’t based on real competition. I mean, Game, I’m his fuckin idol. If you ask him and he’s being truthfully honest with you…it’s just based off his insecurities and, for the most part, pretension. That type of competition doesn’t do anything for me.
